| Resumen (inglés): | After framing Cronwell Jara’s production in the context of the Afro-Peruvian tradition, and after questioning the isolated treatment critics have given to it, we are especially interested in the story «Barranzuelo: an African King in the Paititi» because of its language, written under the effect of oralization, discursive representations of the forest, configuration of the black characters in that context, and also under the influence of the myth of Paititi. | Resumen (español): | Luego de enmarcar la producción de Cronwell Jara en un contexto de literatura dedicada a la matriz afroperuana y de cuestionar el tratamiento aislado de la misma, nos interesa en especial el cuento «Barranzuelo: un rey africano en el Paititi» por la función que cumple el lenguaje escrito en el efecto de oralización, las representaciones discursivas de la selva, la configuración de los personajes negros en ese contexto y, además, por la variación que presenta en el relato del mito de Paititi. El escritor retoma el mito de la ciudad perdida de los Incas denominada Paititi en la que se hallaba un tesoro. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
